Living not too far from the infamous Bondi beach in Sydney, Australia, from an early age I was subjected to the ‘Bronzed Aussie’ image. Being constantly surrounded by fit, active and good looking people, I found it was quite an image to live up to—and it was never my aim to do so. As a teenager, I played sports in high school, yes — but I was never an athlete. I was described as ‘lazy’ on and off the playing field (even by my own mother).
I’m by no means genetically gifted. My story is probably very similar to someone you know, or perhaps even your own.
With Reveal The Steel I aim to show you that even someone who considers themselves ‘average’ can become the very best that he or she can be if they get their training and nutrition ‘right’.
There’s just so much information out there on building muscle, growing stronger and how to get ‘ripped’ and lean. The problem with a lot of it, is that it often involves too much ‘guess’ work, or is a flat-out lie hidden in someone elses marketing agenda.
It also more often than not, involves a bunch of ineffective supplements to ‘make sure’ you get the job done…
Reveal The Steel was originally intended to be a purely male focused book. It has been due to the collaboration with Janelle and the beta-testing team, that I’ve been able to fine-tune the program and make sure that it’s suitable for both genders. Not only that, Janelle is highly skilled at defining ‘at-home’ exercise routines and collaborated with me across ‘all stages’ making sure each exercise chosen was an ‘ideal’ substitution when necessary.
If you’re a reader of Crude Fitness, you’ll know that I’m not a huge fan of gimmicks and the lies that are out there in the fitness industry. It’s taken me a long, long time to write this book to make sure it was something I could stand behind and be proud of.
